I think the safest choice they could make were to restrict the disability representation to some physical disabilites. I support cane and walkers for elders and injured sims. Mental disabilities are very difficult to represent in a accurate and respectful way in the game. Wheelchairs are for most of it's users a traumatic things that most of them wouldn't want to rexperience. Sim Nation is very technologic and i doubt they didn't alredy found a way to recover lost body movements with prosthetics. About muteness and deafness they coul add a SSL (Simlish Sign Language) and a hearing aid. About blindness i don't really know, it would be interesting, they could add glasses with radar sensors and describer AI to ease the sim life, or stay with the cane, glasses, and guide dog, but i am not part of that community and hadn't seen talks about it so... I'd really like them to be added in base game (through a Get to Work refresh, please!) with a common design and their variations (like ultrafuturistc limbs, alien tech limbs, steampunk limbs, etc.) should be kept to dlcs like the nails.
