🌟 The Sims 4: Get to the Car! — Fan Expansion Idea 🚗
I had this idea for a new Sims 4 expansion (or free base game update) that brings cars and transportation back into the game — with a fun, modern twist!
What can be new:
Buy cars right from your phone or computer.
Customize them in Create-a-Sim style — change color, shape, rims, interior, and even add fun accessories.
Give cars traits just like Sims! Example Car Traits:
Business Car – Gets to work faster, never late.
Racer – Drives up to 300 km/h but increases bills.
Taxi – Can carry unlimited Sims and still drives normally.
Mascot – No limits for accessories or editing.
Vet – Extra seats for pets.
Parenting – Extra seats for kids.
Brokie – Cheap and fast, but breaks often.
Sneaky – Great for burglars… or midnight adventures.
Road Trips and Travel: Sims can plan road trips and vacations using their cars! You could even see fun little cutscenes when they drive off to new places — adding life and realism to traveling.
Fun Gameplay Ideas: New events: carpooling, parking spaces, garages, or repair shops.
Optional driving modes: autopilot or manual control for storytelling.
Funny or dramatic moments — like a “Car Chaos” accident that leaves your Sim singed but okay (classic Sims humor, not realistic violence).
Why It Fits? Every generation of The Sims had cars — except The Sims 4! This pack would bring back the nostalgia and open up tons of new storytelling and gameplay possibilities.

Cars! Yess they are an essential part of life. It doesn't matter Sims 4 doesn't have an open world road system. They can still drive them around short distance like they do with bicycles. And yes to all Briana2526 said. We could've had functioning garages, car dealership, and automotive mechanics as an active career.
