Table manners for nobles needed

I think the table manners in the game are not suitable for noble environment like royal castles etc.

Imagine the king and queen eating their fancy dinners in front of the fridge, which often is the way they eat, without using both fork and knife but instead shoveling it in hastily with only a fork as if the food was snow.

Please make an option to overwrite current eating habits as a lot challenge. Noble eating habits should require hiring a butler and the butler should cook and server every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner. All sims sit down by the dining table and the butler first cooks the food and then serves it at the table. All sims eat with fork and knife and all start and leave the table at the same time. It's not polite to leave before the other's are finished. This session should of course not take too long, that's important, but still be looking genuine for the noble environment. This lot challenge could be called 'Noble dinner habits'.

Another lot challenge could be called 'Family dinner habits' and this should make families sit down by their table and eat together, wait for each other before they start and finish. No butler needed, but the meal can be cooked and served by any family member.

The third lot challenge related to dinners could be called 'Sloppy dinner habits' which basically means no change at all from the current eating habits in game. The sims can eat everywhere, shoveling it in with only a fork while standing in the kitchen or sitting on the bedside or in front of the tv. They can start and leave any time and don't have to care about if someone else is still eating when they finish. They can just leave and carry on with other tasks.

Yes, I agree. If you play a medieval royal household for example, you might want them to eat in a rougher way with a wooden spoon and a knife. We need different eating habits of different reasons, could be which part of the world is played, historical period or social reasons. To make them a lot challenge choice would be good but that would be a big update and mean new animations needed.

Honestly, I think table manners would depend on the royal family, their culture, and the period they're meant to represent. Historically, not every king or queen necessarily had the formal table manners we might associate with royalty today. Charlemagne, for example, was reportedly not particularly concerned with refined table etiquette and was even said to talk while chewing and famously burp at dinner.

I also find the idea that a noble or monarch wouldn't cook for themselves or their family a bit ridiculous. Not every royal family needs a butler, either. What if you want to portray a royal family that is deliberately more down-to-earth and closer to the common people than the nobility? A monarch cooking a meal for their family could be perfectly fitting for that kind of household.

For example, why would my Mt. Komorebi royal family, which is clearly based on Northern Japan, eat with a fork and knife simply because they're royalty? If I'm creating a Japanese-inspired royal household, I'd want their dining customs to reflect that culture rather than automatically imposing European aristocratic traditions on them.

I'd rather see different dining styles as optional choices that players can use to define their households, rather than making one particular version of “noble” dining mandatory.
