Please, EA, make the IPad Pro M1 capable of running The Sims 4 because it is quick and strong. I am excited to purchase this new ipad, but I want The Sims 4 on it because it will make my day if EA worked on it.
Sorry but EA does not make the iPad Pro so can not change it to be able to run games like The Sims 4. Neither can they change The Sims 4 to be able to run on such a weak device. Yes, I know that it is probably a bit more powerful than previous iPads but there is still a long long way up to a real computer.
Of course, iPad Pro has more than enough power to run such a simple game as Sims 4. I bet even a normal iPad from ~5 years ago has more than enough power to run it.
The latest IPad Pro with M1 CPU is faster than most of the latest Intel i7 CPUs, basically making it more powerful than most desktop PCs.
The only problem is that EA won't release it for iPadOS/iOS (and it's definitely not a hardware limitation).Don't know why people believe the iPad is not powerful enough they clearly don't know about computers that's for sure, the m1 Mac can run it which the iPad m1 ...you guessed it has the same cpu, its not a hardware issue its purely software..and even before the m1 iPad would have been able to run it.

The iPad Pro with M1 chip will be absolutely capable of running the game now. It has the same chip as the MacBook Airs, 13" MacBook Pros and Mac minis released at the end of last year which can happily run the game. It is also the same chip in the newly announced iMacs.
The M1 Macs can also run iPhone and iPad apps due to the new architecture. However, the M1 iPad Pros will still be running iPadOS, not macOS, and Sims 4 is developed for macOS and Windows.
One of two things needs to happen to be able to play the current Sims 4 on the M1 iPad - Either EA need to develop a version for iPadOS or Apple need to make it possible for the iPad to run macOS.
If you have a compatible Mac you could use the iPad as a second display using Sidecar but that's all it is, a second display. The game would still need to be installed and running on the Mac - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT210380I know right, thank you for assisting me in determining how powerful the ipad pro M1 is, and what to expect if the ipad pro has the M1 chip. I believe it would be able to handle the sims 4, which they must build for ipads.

Why must they? Why not just buy a Mac? You can buy a MacBook Air with pretty much the same spec and a full operating system for a few quid more.
- @Jfranz18 The new M1 iPads will be more powerful that most laptops today, certainly that many laptops available circa 2013 when this game launched. Truly hope that EA finds a way to work with Apple (Rosetta 2?) to translate the program over.
Perhaps Sims 4 console, plus a OTA game streamer? Still requires a keyboard (magic keyboard) and mouse (fine by me... Apple Pencil could eventually become a great substitute).
