The Sims and AI

The fact that they are forcing me to sign in again and again send freezing this particular thread says enough for me. Agreed completely 

AI has been in games and it's been around I think since 1952 or maybe before it's just got more developed and prominent within the years I'm be honest it will be interesting to see if they act more human like an NPC in the house instead of just standing around waiting for  an action they can do something, maybe even a want. 

I understand what you're saying, but there's a difference between the AI of the Sims themselves and the generational AI that EA has partnered with. Hope this helps!

I remember when Digital copies were "evil", people wanted physical disc. Now physical disc no longer exists, everybody is happy to download their game day one at the first second.

Digital art is an insult to handmade art but people supports these digital artists.

Internet replace or overshadow the hand-crafted but nobody wants to go back now.

Consumers don't want to pay an expensive price to supports hand-crafted products if machines can do it for a cheaper price.

Microsoft, Google, Apple, X, ... the American companies rule the world and decided the future will be AI, people positive or negative opinions don't matter.

Ea is asking their current employees to use their voices for this program. The employees are on strike this is not some little issue it’ll take people’s jobs and bring down the originality of the game. People will be laid off and a computer will be recycling the same information off the internet over and over. Using ai to create something is fine but not when it start affecting a large portion of people. Ea is being completely disrespectful to their workers by asking them to help create what is going to take their jobs and to us by asking us to pay the same amount or maybe even more for recycled bs an algorithm game up with. It is all about greed and nothing more. They have the resources to pay people for original ideas but would rather let a non living thing decide what best for us.

I totally agree Ea is literally asking their current employees to help develop the system that is going to take their jobs. Games are art and should be treated as so. The game should have heart and soul. Not some machine that barely knows what we want or yk that doesn’t have a conscience. The ai will do whatever it’s built to do while humans are unpredictable. Most people think this is why ai is good but you’re wrong it’s the exact reason it’s bad. Humans can create absolutely anything, anything is possible with the human mind but ai only does what the algorithm allows them to do. Humans have so many abilities and advantages while ai only has a few one being they won’t have to pay people as much. This is literally unforgivable they are a multi billion dollar company and they have the resources to pay anyone they want. They are being awful to the employees who have been there working their butts off for this game. It is just straight disrespect. We need to speak up about this and show ea we not okay with them treating their workers like this and that ai should not be an option. Society in general has done amazing, wonderful, unprecedented things without ai. Do you think an ai could do anything like Picasso or da Vinci if they hadn’t done it first, no. Humans have the ability to come up with ideas that have never ever been thought of before. Ai doesn’t have that ability ai can’t even count to 100. This need to be spoken up against. Ea needs to know the disgusting actions they have tried to make and correct them. The only reason they want to use ai is for greed. I love ea and have loved their games since I was a little kid. I can’t remember my life without ea but this is a great disrespect not only to the employees but to the consumers and community as well. They are trying to make it where they spend little effort and money but still charge 50-30 dollars for an expansion pack. This is disgraceful. I have never been unhappy with ea in my life but now I am livid and am considering not playing any of their games just for this reason. We should get the effort we have been paying for all the years. Using ai is lazy and greedy. Ea needs to be stoped. We need to show them we’re not gonna stand for this. We need to speak up more.

The sims themselves are ai and have been since the first game. Will Wright created their ai.
