Solved

Too much money too quickly it seems.

More a request than anything. Can the amount of Simoleans in the household account be increased to either 99,999,999 or find a way to make it easier to spend money or slow the amount you can get, mainly from the interest award. I have no mods, have used no cheats outside of the resetSims and I have not even had my first-generation Sims pass on (both still Elders with one daughter) and I have already hit the 9,999,999 max cap for money.  Does anyone know how to reduce the amount? Is there a cheat code for that?

  • @schurch2050 there is! 🥳
To bring up the cheat box, type Ctrl + Shift + C at the same time.  Then, in the box type testingcheats enabled and then press the Enter button. That will allow you to type the money cheat that you can use to either increase or decrease your household funds.  In the cheat box, (after you have enabled testingcheats) you will need to type money amount. So if you want your sims to have only $812 , you would type money 812 and then press Enter.  If you want them to have 71,408 you would type money 71408 and hit Enter.  When you are finished, you can turn off testingcheats

Thank you. I never knew you could reduce the amount of money, and this will help a great deal as the interest award payment every few Sims days has reached 500,000 Simoleans each time.

@schurch2050 Glad it helps!😊  I have some saves that had too much money as well, and I had to do this.  I've also seen people do this for Challenges that require a specific amount of money that is randomly determined, especially with the build challenge that Plumbella developed in June 2023.  This cheat is needed for that challenge! 😅
    Happy Simming! 🥳
