Under priced pictures

For many years now I have been annoyed at the low low prices and options for photographs. I would like to see a true photography career in Get To Work. The photographer should be able to take advantage of a fine arts degree. They should also be able to charge more than $29 for a picture. Things like being able to own a retail studio and do prints and limited edition runs would also be nice.

  • IamRockmower did you know that the photographer career is part of the Moschino pack? It's freelance and I imagine that it could be combined with the small business feature from Business and Hobbies. My photographer sold photos as part of the career with varying prices depending on quality.

I don't have, and likely won't get business and hobbies. I had forgotten that this is a career in Moshino pack but to the best of my knowledge that doesn't seem to increase the value of photographs. They still sell for $1 to $29 depending on the quality. Can you imagine Ansel Adams or Diane Arbus selling a picture of The Falls in Selvadorada for $29? It would be turned into a limited edition print, potentially oversized, and sold for hundreds if not thousands of Simoleans!

IamRockmower usually I'd test this myself but unfortunately I have a photo bug that pre-dates even the black photo bug, but have you tried adding the Marketable Reward Trait for 1,500 points and seeing if that makes a difference. It increases the price of crafted objects. I know it works on paintings and other items but I haven't tested on photos.

Neither the Creative Visionary or Marketable traits have an effect on the price of photos.
