Vampire walk pets at supernatural speed

I think vampires should be more mindful when walking their dogs. My vampires normally always move with supernatural speed, and I think it would make more sense for them to slow down to a normal, mortal speed when walking a pet. Poor dog is always about 3 blocks behind, and as soon as the dog caught up, the vampire continues to speed. Also when they are so far apart from each other, the leash partly disappears in the ground, which looks quite silly.
