Vehicles and Garages: A Full-Service Pack

Many of us have grown accustomed to cars being in the game ever since the Sims 2 era. And while the Sims 3 took this concept to a whole other level in making an open world concept, I can understand the concerns from the Sims 3 that convinced the EA team to go another way in Sims 4… but there is still work arounds here which can include some new and possibly interesting concepts, taking this to the next level in other ways.

There are already several Mod and Custom Content creators that have made amazing garage items and vehicles for our games (Max20 is one who comes to mind). While, to my knowledge, no one has made their vehicles “drivable,” there still can be a beautiful compromise.

If EA could make it where Sims can own vehicles of their choice, very much like the vast options, we were given with the Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff. They could “Drive” Them to work, to a friend’s or relative’s house, or community lot. Even though it would not be open world, they could still use the vehicles to go to different places with a loading screen… which was done in Sims 2. If we want to go even further, now that sims can bring sleeping bags for sleepovers and suitcases… why not throw them into the trunk of the car? Same can go with tents, picnic baskets, and coolers for an outing at the park.

Hmm... How cool would it be to have Sims put their bikes on the bike rack on top of the car to take them to a park and snow skis and snow boards for those who have Snowy Escape to take to the slopes?!? Or throw a Christmas tree on top of the hood in time for Christmas. (All cute little possibilities of realism.)

Meanwhile, it is still fun to have vehicles of all styles and models both modern and vintage as décor and to have items to create garages as some of our creators have done… including functional garage doors (Thank you Ravasheen). Yet, again... there are many of us who would love to have them in our games without the use of Mods or Custom Content.

What would be even more amazing is to have more than one type of style/model vehicle that can be made from scratch or rebuilt/restorations for car enthusiasts like it was offered in the Sims 2 FreeTime expansion pack and the Sims 3 store’s Roaring Heights… but this time with more choices of vehicle selections offering both race car, modern cars, and vintage.

In fact, one type of car can be either created by a Sim with a certain car part or skill or just simply have the car offered in the game which resembles the “Love Bug” which could offer some special “magical romance” options or moodlets… after all it is the love bug, which would be perfectly fitting with the latest EP Lovestruck.

In theme with Get To Work, Sims could own any number of car-related businesses and be rated on their services rendered. Sims could own a car dealership, a gas station, a car repair shop, or create an automotive restoration shop. Ideally, a full-service gas station where workers can be hired to run the register for Sims to purchase snacks, vehicle parts, and odd -n- ends, offer car attendants to fill cars up with gas and check the oil and tires, plus add a car repair shop on the side would be very cool. Each employee would also have appropriate work attire. So, "Fill Her Up."

To have this all thrown together into a pack that offers these items and buildable/restorable vehicles choices with a new Sim’s interest or career in building cars or owning a gas station/some type of car shop would go a long way in offering a hint of novelty and in keeping with tradition.

A great big thank you for your time and considerations to this request.
