- stitchwitch132 years agoSeasoned Traveler@3Rosez I thought of that but how can I make it functional?

A Graveyard or Cemetery would make a lovely Community Lot in the game. They don't necessarily have to be gloomy or spooky, but they can be serene like a peaceful park. Graveyards are not morbid, death happens in the Sims. It's a place to say goodbye and then visit again to reminisce and pay respects.
Just like in previous Sims games, it's a place townies will go to deposit their loved ones. This way there aren't random urns to stumble over in the entryways of NPC houses, or just laying in the middle of the street, or just ... gone, missing. Graveyards are respectful places to lay our beloved late Sims to rest, as many of us players grow very attached to our Sims. Graveyards would bring closure to the game's sometimes abrupt deaths. A Memorial Service and/or a Celebration of Life Service would be nice Social Events to add with Graveyards.
Also! Would love if Graveyards bring back the Sims 3 Mausoleum and it's pop-up adventures.
The graveyard that you have created is very lovely! @xochiquetzl_xkvn 🙂 The design is very nice. The flowers and floral arch are pretty and peaceful candles. It is a lovely tranquil place to reflect on the ones that have passed away.
i would like a graveyard lot type in the game also.

I know it might sound unusual but I think EA should consider creating a funeral pack for Sims 4! It would add a layer of realism to the game allowing Sims to mourn and celebrate the lives of their loved ones who've passed on. Imagine being able to hold a funeral service, where family and friends can gather to pay their respects and share memories of the deceased. And instead of keeping graves in our Sims backyards, a public cemetery would be a great addition where Sims can visit and honor their ancestors. I know Wedding Stories didn't quite hit the mark but I think this idea might have potential.
And I definitely think a funeral pack would be the way to go since EA would need to create a separate world for the cemetery and funeral services which would require some significant development. The cemetery would need to be pretty spacious to hold all the Sims graves. And I really like the idea of having a cemetery worker who could escort Sims to their loved ones graves so if a sim gets lost or confused while searching for a grave, the cemetery worker could provide guidance and support just like how it is in real life when a person needs help finding a loved one's grave. It would add a nice touch of realism and emotional depth to the game in my opinion. Anyone else agree?

I think it would be really cool if there were funeral events to grieve for sims that have passed. I feel like death in this game is a little lackluster, the sims are sad and cry for a few days but otherwise it doesn't really effect any of the gameplay. I also think having a mortician/funeral service career could be really interesting. Graveyards, different gravestone designs, and different urn designs would also be some cool additions to the game. Adding new ways to die, like murder, car accidents (a rabbit hole obviously) going to or from work, and random real life scenarios. We already have immortals, why not be able to play with mortality?

***I would love to see a death focused expansion. Some of the Ghost stuff is kind of already in the game. But would be great if the ghost stuff can be overhauled for the base game and Expansion. ***
