Here are some features to consider including to within a Salon themed pack:

  • I like this. For skin conditions they could also add lice and whole body waxing, painful, but the hair takes longer to grow back.

  • I really liked fragrances in Sims 3 even though it was a minor, and we sorta have it with flower arranging and they can totally expand on that. Similar to crystal creation's jewelry having both a moodlet and effects per fragrance, and depending on which packs you have (seasons/spa day/etc.). Fragrance can be applied as a perfume/cologne/lotion, used in a bath with bath salts/bath bombs/oils or with infuser/incense would all be great.

I personally feel Sims afflictions are already are enough to manage—even with a toggle option—having new/more personal maintenance to prevent or care for skin conditions seems like a bit much, but for pre-existing afflictions/conditions/negative moodlets—I think it be great.

Learning, experimenting and unlocking fragrance and fragrance combinations for either personal use to selling would be really fun. I love the idea of more gardening plants/trees. But hopefully it will be upkept with future packs as more flowers, herbs, etc. would mean more potential combinations.

More makeup/hair/facial hair CAS, would be great, vintage is a good idea but I think it be nice if they did makeup/hair/facial hair CAS, through various eras like 1900s through to 1950s/60s.

I love all the ideas brought forward. It's clearly a well thought out concept. I think it would be buckets of fun to be able to craft soaps and perfumes to sell at market stands or on Plopsy.

And I think this could easily extend into an active career for the Style Icon.

  • I LOVE the barbershop quartet idea!

This is very close to some of the ideas I’d like for a hair salon in addition to. To the Perfume & Soap making skill I’ve been requesting for years.  I definitely support this.

Question: How did you get the grid into the body of your post? I would love to do that for some of mine.

I can understand the hesitancy toward managing a new type of affliction, such as skin conditions, after the Fairy Aliments system was turned up to 11 on release. As long as players can toggle skin conditions on and off in the settings then it would make it more manageable and give power to the player. If skin conditions were to be a motivator to use crafted products, it might appeal to players who didn't install the Fairies pack and provide more RL gameplay. The occurrence of skin conditions might work best like how illness displays and only affects your played Sims in Get To Work, appearing mostly as negative moodlets, with the occasional visuals (acne / redness) or animations (itching).

I wouldn't want Skin Conditions to appear on Townies to "cure". I imagined the products crafted as simple objects to interact with, to gift, display or to sell, only for the current active household.

You can Insert Table on new posts, but this option isn't available for reply posts.

Sims team if you add itchy scalp can you add tapping for black simmers. Like when your braids are itchy. Just add the feature to the hair style. Cause you can’t scratch or you ruin your braids.
