Why did the sims take away the downloads and followers count in the gallery?

Okay so this is the first time I'm doing this so bare with me, but I just had a question to do with the downloads/followers count in the gallery. I'm aware they took away this feature a few years ago...

I'm having an issue with sims that I create and share with the gallery being tagged with CC even if they don't have CC...some of them have CC but most of them don't. So it's kind of annoying. Hopefully it will all get fixed soon!
