14 Nettle Lane value drop on death of Moody and McMillan

Anyone else experience when the lovely inhabitants of 14 Nettle Lane pass from old age that suddenly their property is only worth around $20k when in full value it is $115k? I have experimented and it happened on two different save files and if I moved them out it was worth the $115k with furniture and still over $30k without. Obviously my sims were very happy to move in at that price but it feels like a glitch/cheat.

Does the workaround there still work ?

The issue seems to have different flavors now.

Yeah, it also happened to me twice. But I only had the option to buy the house unfurnished (at $20k) so I had to buy more furniture and ended up spending a bit more.

@anacfonseca1 Thanks, I didn't buy the first time but the second I did and it came fully furnished, including things like the $12,000 bed. I got rid of those really big items before buying (did not change the value) as it felt too much.

@crinrict Thanks! I did actually delete a couple of items before I moved in like the $12k bed so maybe that is why it worked for me but not @anacfonseca1, I did get the furnished option and it was still $20ish thousand when I moved in furnished.
