Missing food sparkles

Not sure if it's a bug or a decision made by EA that I somehow missed, but when my Sims make Excellent quality food there are no longer any sparkles surrounding the plate of food. I've tried replacing the stoves and fridges with the highest quality and ensuring that my Sims have Level 10 cooking skill so I'm not sure what I could be missing

    Could you please provide the following information

    • Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
    • What are your graphics settings ?
    • Do you have laptop mode on ?

    Hello,

    I am not using mods. The one item of CC I had was removed and upon re-launching the game I still have the same issue. 

    My graphics settings were on High in the game but I switched them to Ultra and I still do not see the sparkles. My PC is able to run the game on Ultra graphics without issues. 

    I do not have laptop mode on.
