Acting Career Bug/issue

I've just encountered this huge problem while playing the game. I have a family where both daughter and mother are actresses (they're both quite advanced in the career). They don't live together since the daughter is a young adult and she's moved out. Now, I was playing with the daughter sim and she had an acting gig to perform so I joined her as I usually do with active careers.

The problem was that her mother, also an actress, was her co-star for the gig. It's the first time I've seen it happened (granted I have tons of family in this safe so I don't play with her often). She was performing the gig where they're on a pirate ship, I forgot what it's called but there are 2 co-stars for this one, one of them was an npc actor and the other one was her mother. So you would think it's fine and cute and "oh she's acting in the same movie as her mom" until I realized that the sim she had to kiss as part of the gig was her mom.Thank God I realized and stopped it before it happened but literally wtf sims?? This should have never been an option. How does the game choose co-stars in the acting career? Because I have at least 5 other actor sims that are in my active households that could have and should have been my sim's co-star instead of her mother.

Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Do I have the make the mother retire from the acting career so this never happens again? Does this mean you can never have sims from the same family be actors at the same time in case they become co-stars and they have to kiss?  Is there a way to fix this?

    I don't see a problem. It is called acting (ie. pretending) for a reason.

    The game chooses any eligible character that are currently not played to fill those roles. If she is high in cooking skill and you hired a caterer you might see her in that role as well.

    @GZB_naomi I doubt there's a fix as they're just randomly choosing the "extras" for each gig you take. Judith Ward is often an extra dressed like a raver when I'm the lead in a gig and technically she out ranks some of my celebrity sims. I wish there was a fix because I have family celebrities but seeing as it's random, I'm sure it's just a pretend they aren't related issue when or if it comes up

    @GZB_naomi Hi!  I completely understand your reservations about having family members kiss each other.  However, I have to agree with @jpkarlsen and @wahini2024 in the sense that the game isn't looking at familial relationships when assigning these tasks.  So, it's up to you to decide if your sims should proceed because I doubt this is something that will change.  Personally, in real life, if I was given a role in movie alongside my mom and part of that role was to kiss her, then I'd say "pucker up Mom! This is happening!"  :-)
