Add and remove sentiments
Hi, I have a little problem with the new sentiments, they are wrong. I relly think sentiments is a good idea but I need a cheat to add and remove them. Just a few minutes ago i was happily pl...
Hmm... I don't seem to have this option? I'm looking under the Gameplay tab, beneath the "Build Mode Items Grant Gameplay Effects" checkbox, but the option to turn Sentiments on/off isn't there. My game is patched to the latest version (1.68.156.1020 64-bit), including the latest bug/stability fix.
Do I need to buy Snowy Escape to get the option? I ran the game without any mods or CC included and I still don't have the check-box.
Thanks for the reply, @Trismagistos!
That's kinda lame that I need the EP itself just to disable sentiments/lifestyle. 😕 I'm not that worried about irrational emotions/sentiments among my Sims. My gripe is that I don't want sentiments in my game, period. My newly-married Sims getting Flirty/Very Flirty every time they're simply in the same room together is as annoying as making them take cold showers, and apparently the only way I can make the romantic/Enamored sentiment go away is if I separate the couple for a few days.
If any devs happen to read this: Why couldn't disabling sentiments be an option in the Base Game if you were gonna implement a feature best used with the Snowy Escape EP? Seems kinda corny, honestly. I didn't really want the Snowy Escape EP, but it seems like I don't have much choice if I wanna get rid of silly Lifestyles & Sentiments that I never asked for and didn't want. 🤨
@GreaseBones96I think there is a slight misunderstanding. This tread is mainly about the new type of sentiments that came with the new EP Snowy Escape.
EDIT: After the patchupdate some new sentiments are also part of the base game - lifestyles belong to the EP Snowy Escape.
The usual emotions/sentiments the Sims have is an integral part of the Sims 4. This means you are not able to turn off any of the common sentiments/emotions as you mentioned . You can only play with or switch off the lifestyle sentiments traits when you have bought Snowy Escape.
Ah, that makes more sense, @Trismagistos. Thanks for the explanation and clarification!
After all of the issues I've seen lately, and how much they've started pushing expansions and packs, I'd assume it's by design to get that extra money from us. And I'm pissed.
No, I don't have it and I get them all of the time.
