Adoption Relationship
If I want to adopt a child and I have several adults with “household member”, and one adopts a kid, what will the other adults see the adopted child as?
@Fluffy4880 I think by default all the other Sims will see the child as a household member, but you can edit that in CAS/ Manage Households. I'll do a quick test on this to be sure.
I noticed that one of the Maxis families in Evergreen Harbor, the Tinker Household, had a married couple with a daughter but the relationship panel only had Yasemin Tinker listed as a mother and Tina Tinker listed as a "household member". Their bio mentions "their daughter Olive" making it sound like both should be parents, so I changed it in CAS (using the cas.fulleditmode cheat) so that both Tina and Yasemin are listed as "mother" to Olive.
EDIT: OK here is what happened when I created a new Sim, added her to the Tinker household, and then had her adopt a daughter:
My new Sim (I named her Elissa) is listed as "Household Member" to all other Sims except for her adopted daughter (I named her Tori), and her daughter Tori is listed as "Household Member" to all Sims except for her mother, Elissa. Both of the other adults saw Tori as "Household Member".
