@Veykek Go to weather preferences in game options and turn off the thunderstorms. I got tired of the panic so I kept rain and snow but cut the blizzards (for obsessive shoveling) and thunderstorms out (for the panic)
So it'll still rain just never thunderstorm. Haven't had any issues since I changed the setting or sim panic and no need to buy the storm chaser reward either
