Babies Born With No Relationship or Biological Link To Parents on Vanilla.
I have surfed the forum to see the same issue but it was resolved back in 2017 saying that it was due to mods.
I do not have any mod nor packs, but I'm having this issue now.
I just had my first baby in the game (so I'm new to the whole concept).
My Sim birthed a baby girl who at first seemed to be all fine.
Then after aging the baby up, she changed skin colour! I thought it might have been a temporary bug and didn't pay it any mind.
It was until I wanted to breastfeed the baby that I noticed it said "No caregiver can breastfeed", as I found it strange I checked in my female Sim simology, and she is able to produce milk.
I then proceeded to save the game and exit, and then enter the game again. (this has worked for some bugs before)
When I entered the game again I still couldn't breastfeed, so I searched it up and found posts that didn't help. So again I didn't pay too much attention to it and aged up the newborn into an infant.
The baby kept being differently skinned from her parents, and I was upset because I couldn't change it.
But then I couldn't pick up the infant, I could barely have any interactions with the baby.
That's when I looked everywhere and found that the baby my sim birthed is like an adopted baby!
This is surely a bug of some sorts, but please someone tell me how can I fix this.
(if it can help I noticed other problems, like the parents who are married not appearing in each other's family trees. And a skill which I had maxed being lowered to level 8, and one that I had just learned be forgotten).
I built up a lot in this save before deciding to finally have my first pregnancy experience, so I hope this is fixable and I don't have to restart from zero.
