Best platform to play the sims 4?

Long story short, I have played sims 4 on Origin - (MacBook) , EA and steam. Origin came with a lot of issues that lead me to loosing $100 + on packs and my worlds. I have EA and steam on my new laptop and I have a kit on EA that I am unable to access through steam but I have a game pack on steam that I am unable to access on EA.

Should I just switch to steam for good?

  • @jamm15  Do you have a Windows PC now?  If so, you can install the game through Steam and then install the pack you own through the EA App as well.  (Don't install a second copy of the base game.)  The way this is supposed to work, the EA App-owned pack would install into the Steam base game's folder and load just as if you'd bought it through Steam.

If you're still playing in macOS, then this question is moot.  The Steam version of Sims 4 is Windows-only.

I have an acer laptop now, does the same thing apply?

Thanks so much for the reply.

  • @jamm15  If your Acer laptop runs Sims 4, it runs Windows.  So you can install the game through Steam and your EA App-owned packs through the App, as described.
