Hi please try the following

  • Re-add the skill perk to your Sim (cheats or mods)
  • Move your mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache file
  • Create a backup of your saves folder to a save place outside the current Sims folder
  • Start the game and start your save.
  • Remove the skill perk again with the same method
  • Check if the issue persists.

This is to test on a vanilla game as all bugs reported must be tested without any mods installed to make sure it's not caused by a mod.

    I removed my mods, and it still was in effect. Eventually, I just re-added the skill perk with the "equip traits" cheat and had him drink the removal potion again, and it seems to have taken. My mods are redownloaded, so fingers crossed I don't have to go through that AGAIN.

      I'm going to move this to gameplay for now as it's unclear if the cause was a game bug or a mod.

      If you can duplicate it happen on a vanilla game, please come back and post again.
