Showing that its not connected to the internet

Okay so this has been happening for a couple months now, but when I am in game I can not access anything that uses the internet so the gallery, market place, and I couldn't even see the last log in reward event. I don't get any error codes or anything either, it just wont work even though my laptop is connected to the internet.

I've tried restarting my game, removing my mods fodder, clearing the cache, even restarting my laptop. I really don't know what else I can try to do.

    Thanks for the update BatSkulls07

In that case, please try uninstalling the EA App, restarting your computer, and reinstalling the app. Then try the online mode and see if you can get past the loading screen.

If the problem persists, it might be worth trying these troubleshooting suggestions

    Hey BatSkulls07

If you haven't already, please check whether your EA App is in offline mode, as Sims 4 won't be able to access online features if it is. You can do so by selecting the menu icon in-app on the upper left-hand corner and clicking 'Go online' if you're currently offline before restarting your game.

Is the Gallery option greyed out for you, or can you click it? Same with Marketplace. Are you currently signed in to the game? Your username should appear in the upper-right corner, next to the menu icon, if you are.

Let us know, and we can continue from there. Thanks!

The EA App was online. When I'm in game I can click and open everything but tells me that I need to be online and it gives me pop up to connect but when I try to it will just load until I choose 'stay offline'.

Thank you, I didn't have to do as many steps. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Hello. I'm having the exact same issue and want to try your steps but if by uninstalling the EA App, will that remove all the Sims games I have attached to it? It took some time to download all the packs.

    Hey DesireeKILLS

Access to your purchased Sims games and packs is tied to your EA account, and the actual files are already downloaded to your computer. Reinstalling the EA App shouldn't require redownloading any files or other game content, as the app will detect them once installed.

There's a chance the EA App may not recognize certain packs correctly, which would require reinstalling the affected packs. But besides that, you should be good to go!

Hello.  Thank you for responding.  I did go ahead and reinstall and it did not fix the problem.  It's only for the game.  The ea app connects just fine.

    Thanks for that update DesireeKILLS!

Can you confirm if the 'Online social features' option is enabled in your game settings and your EA App is in online mode? If you're signed in and both look good, please try going through these Gallery connection troubleshooting steps for more suggestions. Let us know how it goes!
