I have noticed a new issue in my game regarding books, kids' toys, and pet toys purchased by a member of the household. A sim will purchase books/toys, and the items will be placed in the bookshelf or toybox. However, if I leave live mode on the current lot in any way, such as by entering CAS or travelling to a different lot, the items will be missing upon return. I will click "open" on the bookshelf/toybox, and it will be empty.
are you using mods/cc ?
Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
Also does it happen on a new save too or just the existing ones ? Are you playing on a residential rental lot ?
This happens to me too on residential rental lots. All purchased books in shelves and toys in toyboxes disappear.
You don't use MCCC or you don't have any lastException files or both
