@cjshroom Yeah, it's a pretty crummy design flaw, in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure they've been that way since the base game launched. And with all of the new bookshelves added, very few fall into the 'home size' category. Honestly, they look ridiculous in homes unless resized, but that also bums me out because many of them have places to hold objects and if sized down, they hoover (I know there are mods and downloads to fix it, but I don't use outside content apart from MCCC).
On the bright side, they look beautiful in library settings. The formality of them works well in a grander setting.

Definately not a bug, it's the nature of a cartoonist game where nothin has to look realistic, they also have oversized cell-phones.
The cellphones are normal sized. Just the bookshelves are ludicrous.
