Build Items Will Not Place

The Sims 4, after Life and Death installed. Objects from Build/Buy mode will not place down. And objects are not able to be placed down from inventory either. The only workaround I accidentally found...

    I did not have any error messages. But I repaired the game, and now the error is gone.
