What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?: Get Together, City Living, Seasons, Get to Work, Dine Out and Holiday Celebration.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?:
- Make sure to uninstall a majority of packs leaving a select few
- Go to the gallery, select the 'Lots' option and click the 'Sort by owned' check box to the left.
- You'll see a majority of the suggestions are with packs not owned/installed.
What happens when the bug occurs?: The gallery still shows lots containing packs I don't own.
What do you expect to see?: I expect to see lots created only with packs I own.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?: I have tested this with and without my mods, the same result occurs.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?: No
Gallery 'Sort by owned' does not sort by owned.
Since I don't own all the packs, an option like 'Sort by owned' is really helpful.
The only problem is that it will tick all my owned packs in the check boxes to the left, but when I click on a lot in the gallery, 9 times out of 10 it'll include packs I don't own.
This is a bit frustrating because I'll be really tempted by a great build, only to find out the sort button doesn't work as intended. If I go ahead and decide to place the lot anyway; up to hundreds of items, wallpapers, floors, rugs, decorations etc in the build will either be replaced or removed.
It'd be great if the sort by owned button in the gallery could be fixed, as I have seen many others with this issue.
