Calendar is broken after getaway

Hiya, I just got Adventure Awaits last week and I've been having some problems ever since starting my first getaway. At first the getaway wouldn't start and the sim wouldn't travel there on their own, and when I did travel to camp gibbi gibbi it tried to start twice in a row? Somehow I got two pop ups that the getaway was starting and I think I cancelled the second one and it suddenly sent my child sim home and it was monday (the getaway started on friday)

Since then, the child wouldn't go to school since the job panel would constantly say "school in 2 days" even if it was a school day. The lunar phases also don't change anymore, they're stuck on permanent new moon and several of the festivals are broken, too, like the new moon festival in gibbi point and ravenwood family day. The school issue did fix when the child aged up into a teen, but it does persist in other households as well for both child and teen sims, and only having a child age up into a teen seemed to fix it there. I'm not sure if it affected adult's jobs as well

Is there a way to reset the calendar? At this point a lot of the game feels broken and I can't complete things like childhood aspirations and such if the children will not go to school. I've read you could reset the seasons but I don't have the Seasons pack so that wouldn't work for me I fear.

    bewitchedbard​  I had a very similar experience sending a child to Getaway.

    I wish I had better news.  It seriously impacted my game and still does.  
    Consider going back to a previous save before you sent the child to Getaway.  
    In hindsight should have exited without saving or loaded an earlier save.  I didn't notice all of the problems the glitch caused right away.

    I'm on PC and I tried Verifying Files on Steam.  The Clean Folder.  I checked my calendar settings in game menu.  All looked normal / default.  After one of the updates the moon phases on the calendar started working again.  Nothing I did - it just started working.   I started a new game for testing and the calendar worked normal.  So, the glitch corrupted my legacy game save. 

    Sims joining a new career after the glitch will go to work as usual.
    Sims that had a job when the glitch happened would not go to work. They still got paid but could not get promoted or work on advancing.  The only workaround I found was for them to quit the job and start again.  
    I have a global superstar actor that is still glitched and won't go to acting jobs.  He just got his walk of fame star. ?!!  I think I'm going to have him quit and see if he keeps his fame - or not.  

    Since the glitch I never see a mailman.  I don't receive any heirlooms or any of the bonus stuff that gets delivered thru mail.
