Calibrate an Electroflux to Wormhole Generator wrong level

I'm having a similar problem. I'm stuck on level 9 of the career, my sim needs to "Calibrate an Electroflux to Wormhole Generator". When I try to do this the game says you must be level 10. For multiple days I have gotten a full daily bar, but my sim won't get the promotion. I think I'm stuck because I can't complete this task.
