@htlacy , you can tell them to "Study Hard" like @puzzlezaddict mentioned, of course. However, I never do this because it can stress them out. Instead I have them work normally (and only make friends once they are an "A" student) and do their homework every evening! (While it helps them do their homework faster if an Adult Sim can help with their homework, I realize that this is probably next to impossible with the 100 Baby Challenge.)
This will still take several days to get their grades up, but it always works for me! 🙂 I don't even worry too much about their mood when they go to school anymore.
Also, like @Trismagistos stated , there is a project that they can do that they bring home once a week on Mondays (or you can buy them in Build/Buy Mode) and if they finish that it will give a big boost to their grades. 🙌 However, this only is available if you have the Parenthood Game Pack. 😉
Feel free to update us on your Sim Students' progress! 😇

@htlacy , I forgot to mention that there is a Lot Trait that can help with kid's grades for school. It is called "Good Schools".🙂 Just go into Build/Buy Mode and in the upper Left corner there is a house icon with the letter "i" on it ... click on that and then click on the hexagon with the question mark in it called "Traits Panel" and then scroll down until you find the Good Schools trait (looks like a stack of books)! 🙌
