Can sims sleep in public/community lots?

Hi, just wondering if I place one or more beds in a community/public lot if sims can sleep there or not?  I had two cases where either sims had a tent to sleep outside (not owned by them but already...

@Giapa95 My sims are able to sleep on public lots, though I mostly just try having them nap on benches rather than placing beds. Does neither the sleep nor nap action work for you?

It worked in the Realm of magic place when my sims napped on the benches...but in the bed in another lot and in a tent nope

    I tried removing music and they slept longer in the bed. Didn't yet try with a tent

      @Giapa95 Music will wake sims up, on both public and residential lots.
