Can you transfer save files between PCs?

I downloaded Sims 4 on another PC with the same EA account, but both my save files and creations in library are gone! Why didn't my stuff transfer? Is it still on my other PC, or did it disappear? (I won't have access to it for a month to see for myself.)

  • @BananasRBerries Your saves library is saved locally (on your computer), so you will need to get your items from your old game saves and tray in your old computer. If you have any of the items uploaded/shared into the community gallery you should be able to find those in the gallery and download those into your new game.

    Please understand these clarifications:

    • The saves folder in your 'The Sims 4' folder contains your game saves.
    • All Households, Lots and Rooms that you have saved to your "My Library" will be saved into your "Tray" folder in your 'The Sims 4' folder.

Following is some additional information about saves and backups that may be helpful:

  • I recently bought a new computer, and if you want to have the same things on both computer you have to do a copy of things.
The point is, for example, you create a family in the computer 1, in the computer 2 the family will not appear instead you do a copy of the files again and paste in the other computer.

  • Your save files files will still be on that computer unless you deleted if, If you just want the characters then you can save them on the gallery and then download them from there

    Hope this helped 🙂
