How can I give an NPC their artwork without gifting?

Playing a For Rent aspiration, and have a tenant who used the communal easel. My first instinct was to put it in my Sims' inventory and then gift it to the tenant, but she was offended that I gave her a gift she had made. 

So, how else might I give her the painting she created?
