Cannot place object in the sims 4

can anybody please help me? I can't place any object in my room... it went normal for a while but glitched again. deleting the room is not helping and I restarted my game but it still happens. I can't place flooring but after 5 mins, for some reason, it allows me to place the flooring.

When I made attempt to put something inside, the object goes through the walls. I cannot put anything inside. And when I pan my camera, the flooring went missing and went blue (picture attached). 

P.s:

I played this game offline and through Steam but 2 days ago I bought 2 stuff packs through origin. It wasn't like this before cause I built 1 building after I bought those packs

  • @TimothyColdheart Unfortunately I cannot see your attacked screenshot. It comes up as an error. Can you try inserting the screenshot into the body of your net reply? Thanks!

    Can you please try a game repair to make sure that the new packs downloaded properly? Click the spoiler tag for directions:

    How to run a game repair:

    • Open Origin, click ‘Game Library’ then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game
    • If you’re on PC, make sure to let it run until it has completed all repairs (it will do the base game first, then run through each of your DLCs (Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs).
    • If you’re on Mac, the repair in Origin will only repair your base game. Learn why and how to repair your DLCs (Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs) at this link: https://bluebellflora.com/2020/06/17/repairing-sims-4-packs-in-origin/

    Also, do you have any Mods &/or CC... or did you in the past? If so, please try the following, also making sure you've deleted the mentioned cache file (click spoiler tag):

    Move your Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. If the issue is gone, please re-add the Mods/CC one at a time until you find the one causing the issue. If you have a lot of Mods/CC you can try the 50/50 method.

    I look forward to hearing if you have any results from any of this to know if we should pursue other options.

  • I tried two solutions you gave me but unfortunately it still does the same thing. Let me re-attach the picture. You can see the that whenever i want to put an object or simply zoom in the room, the floor turns blue and it doesn't allow me to do anything with it. I build this in Twin Oracle in Newcrest which is a 40x50 land.

    @TimothyColdheart I can see the first picture but not the second. Do you have this issue on any other lots in your game? Could you please upload the lot to the gallery and name it something like "floor problem test" so I could download it and test it in my game on that lot? Also, please let me know if your User ID in the gallery is different than it is here. Then please leave a new comment here to tell me the lot is uploaded. Thank you!

    As an aside, did you use glass flooring on the lot? There have been some various issues related to this for some people. Please let me know if either seem to be your issue:

  • Quick update. What do you mean by glass flooring? Is it also include the glass dance floor that came with get together pack? I deleted it and i can place object now. Let me test it first

  • Omg it really is caused by that dance floor!! I undo delete the dance floor and i can't place the object again. 😭😭😭. Omg you are such a savior. Thank you so much!

    @TimothyColdheart Thank you so much for letting us know! I'm assuming that you no longer need the lot tested. Anyway, I'm so glad it's working properly for you now! 🙌
