Cant edit sim relationships even with cas.fulleditmode

I tried to post this to the sims forums but apparently new members can no longer make posts.. so a sim who had twin boys died shortly after they were born so I moved the twins to another household f...

@PhantomDinocera Are they in different age groups ? When you look at the family tree of the kids, do they have an empty parent there ?

The mother is elderly and the sons re young adults. On the sons family tree they’re parents are the biological parents who died. I’m just realising that maybe that’s the reason I can’t change it? Because I would have to change the parents relationships as well but since they’re dead I can’t. Is that maybe the reason?

    @PhantomDinocera Yup, that's the reason. They already have parents and as you say, you can't remove them cause they died.

    The only option is to save them to the gallery, delete the family you have in the game and replace them with the gallery version. You will loose the inventory and relationship but should keep everything else. They should also loose their ghost parents and that way you can set new relationships.

      unfortunately the mother died before I could try that lol but I’ll keep that in mind if I ever need to do it again, thank you! 🙂
