Can't place or sell items in build mode/ Can't place items in display cases

I have a hard time placing and or selling items in the build mode even before the latest expansion pack dropped. There is a problem with placing items or selling items in build more without having to constantly going in and out of build mode. I also have a small business and there are issues placing items that you want to sell on display cases so you are unable to sell items and improving the small business.
