Changing Career Branch

Does anyone know how to switch between career branches? I initially chose the mixology branch of the culinary career (currently level 6, Head Mixologist), and I'm now trying to change to the chef branch. The demote career cheat just fires me, and if I quit the job and try to re-join, I'm started again at Head Mixologist with no option to choose between the branches. I am on Xbox (no mods/cc). Thanks!

    littleastewie​  If you only have base game, there is no way really to do the other branch of a career without a mod.  But if you have Discover University, that does enable you to do both branches of any career associated with the degree your sim earned in university.
