Saw someone say to use the salvage interaction, which I used. I've never used it before, so I didn't know what it did and now the computer has entirely disappeared. My sim still has the doohickey, but I can't implant it into another computer.
I just moved the accountDataDB.package like they said to, and that reset it to the beginning of week 3, so that's chill. What I've learned is to read the task description thoroughly and only do the interactions it tells me (even though insta-repair is repairing, and it should have counted)
