Sims: Horses/Glitch

I have no issues with the game except for when my households have horses. As soon as my sims have a horse the game glitches. It freezes and then continues. I enjoy playing the ranch life but it is frustrating that whenever my household has horses the game glitches. Anyone else experiencing this???

Side note: I don't use mods.
