Color Blind Support for Sims 4?
I read today of all the new skin tones and sliders coming to the Sims 4 in December. The additional customization is welcomed, but are there any plans to help out us color-blind folks? The ability to...
Hi! As a color blind individual sometimes building in the sims can be very frustrating especially because each item has unique swatches and such. The color filters in the catalog, although they are useful, are severely limited. I believe an overhaul to this system is much needed. One idea I had was the possibility to add a feature in which when a player is hovering their mouse over a swatch it tells them the name of the color or what color family it falls under. if the sims wants to continue to address such a diverse community this adjustment is needed in order to further expand its accessibility to this audience.
edit: since making this post i have noticed in build mode that some items don't show up at all when color filters are applied. Secondly, in CAS when color filters are applied only opne swatch of every item shows up but in build mode when you apply the filter every item shows up in every shade.
110% agree, excellently put. many other modern games have a colorblind support of some sort, and most of em rely less on colour in the first place. Fortnite has an excellent colourblind filter, i'm certain EA is capable of solving this problem that has been solved before many times.
