created new household(2 sims) but can only control one sim

I created two sims that i really liked for eachother but different households so i saved one of my sims to the gallery then i merged households through there, but now that both of my sims are in the same world i can only control one sim, and before i entered the world in cas it said “which sim to control” something like that and it only gave me the option to control 1 sim. what do i do please i wasted so much time already on both sims that seemingly cannot be together😭

    The game should ask you which Sim to control whenever any of the Sims in the household are on a different lot. You should be able to switch Sims once the game finishes loading.
