Crystal Creations table not working

I just bought Crystal Creations on 032525.  When I click on Cut Gemstone or Design Jewelry, it shows that I don't have the necessary ingredients (no design, no gemstone, no metal).  I am only able to Design Random Jewelry.

I have no mods or custom content. I have deleted cache file, I have removed all items from in and on the table, I have deleted the table and repurchased; and I have restarted my computer.  

Do I still need to install the patch?  If so, where is it?

You need to select those (design/gemstone/metal) on that pop up screen, are you not able to?

Dee30Jay  The options other than Design Random Jewelry require you to have the items needed either in your sim's inventory or in the jewelry table's inventory.   Otherwise, they are greyed out.  Your sim's jewelry skill level also will keep you from making certain items as well.  So, you need to have your sim work on the skill to get the skill level up to level 10 before everything unlocks.

That's not true, if you dont have any metal or gems you can still select them and pay for them, only certain rare metals/gems cant be bought.

AgnesValravn  Thank you for correcting that, AgnesValravn .  😄 The way I play, I never buy things that I can get for free, so I never bother using any of the options other than Design Random Jewelry.  I just wait until I have the materials before making specific things.  I just go out and dig the rocks to get the metals and crystals before I try making any of the custom jewelry where you chose what you're going to use.  I just forgot about being able to buy them on the jewelry workstation since I don't play that way.  

So, Dee30Jay can you buy crystals and metals through the jewelry station?  If you can, do the options work for you?

While trying to get my skill level up to 10, I discovered what I was doing wrong.  It was so basic that I'm too embarrassed to say what it was.

But while I have so much attention, where can I find lots of dig spots?  I've dug up the ones at oasis springs a couple of time and now they don't come back. 😐
