Crystal Creations table not working

I bought the Crystal Creations pack a couple months ago and life got in the way and I hadn't been able to play it. I decided to play because of the Reapers Rewards challenge and when I went to use it...

You need to select those (design/gemstone/metal) on that pop up screen, are you not able to?

While trying to get my skill level up to 10, I discovered what I was doing wrong.  It was so basic that I'm too embarrassed to say what it was.

But while I have so much attention, where can I find lots of dig spots?  I've dug up the ones at oasis springs a couple of time and now they don't come back. 😐
