This is my "solution", because I've come to realize it's not even a problem (at least not for me): I've had the error message pop up since February every time I try to save a lot to my gallery. However, the lot is still being saved despite the message! The reason I noticed this was because I let the message stay open so that I could copy it word for word when reporting it to the forum (which I didn't end up doing). Then all of the sudden the green pop up window showed up in the background, telling me the save was complete. After that I clicked "ok" in the error pop up, and my lot could be found in my saves! I get the error message each time, but all of my lots gets saved despite it - as long as I don't click on the pop up while it's saving.
The error message is quite misleading though, so this needs to be fixed regardless. But I recommend everyone who's facing this bug to just let the error message stay open and see if that helps!
Well,this did sweet FA. I've left the error message open for 15 minutes now and still nothing.....

Hasn't worked for me either, on PS4. I left it for a good half hour and nothing is saving. I haven't got the new business and hobbies pack yet so it's not that in my case, this save issue is one main reason I haven't got the B&H pack yet

This issue is not linked to the B&H pack, it started with the burglar update before B&H even came out. I’m sorry the work around isn’t helping you, it’s a huge issue and so far I haven’t heard anything about them trying to fix it… I will say it seems like the issue is evolving and slightly different from player to player, since originally after the burglar update I was only able to save household to the gallery/ library, now I can save lots with this ridiculous work around, but I can only save households to my library and cannot share them to the gallery anymore.
I really hope they are working on fixing this issue because it’s really impactful for a majority of their players regardless of how that individual is accessing their game. It would be really fantastic if they would tell us if they are working on the issue as well because just doing it without giving us any information is really stressful considering how much time & money the average sims player has sunk into their game!

It's exactly as you say. I've also noticed the bug evolving in different ways, and EA completly ignoring the problem. One thing recently, I can usually save to my gallery now if I exit game, delete cache, then go straight to build without changing anything and try this a few times. Very time consuming. Meanwhile, EA is worried we don't have enough pride stuff so gave an update for that.
