Custom paintings in build mode

I don't know where to post this, sorry if I posted it at the wrong place.

When I download residential lots from the gallery (or only a room), I sometimes notice that people put custom paintings on the wall of the houses, and they are not flagged as CC.
I think these are actually a custom image added on an object from the game, and not an actual custom object added.

Anyway, I don't know how they're doing it, and I would like to know how, because I would like to do the same!!!! 🙌 Add beautiful pictures on the wall to complement Sims decor!

Please, can someone tell me HOW TO DO THIS? Thank you! 🥳

Simmers used to be able to use the Legacy version of Sims 4 and a mod to create paintings for the game from photos. When the EA app was brought in, this was no longer possible.

There are mods that can give you other paintings, but I wouldn’t think they’d transfer successfully through the gallery. Though maybe once they’re painted it sticks, the way photos and paint from reference can be transferred?
Speaking of the “paint from reference” option, that allows you to get paintings of your Sim’s friends/family or pretty landscapes in the world (I like having my Sims paint the harbor), which might be what you’re seeing, though I think technically paint from reference is also supposed to get flagged as cc.

I remember looking into this in the past, and @rosemow gave and had great directions on this topic for me (thus I'm tagging her here). She has many lovely paintings/photos in the gallery made via this method that I've used in my builds and they do not tag/flag as CC. 🌹

@rosemow Good to know! I knew there was a big change. So are the nocc ones in the gallery are all from before this change and they still work?

All the pictures that were posted before the change over to the EA app are still NOCC @SheriGR All these pictures were made before the change.

Thanks @rosemow for the answer, even if it's disappointing, at least I will stop trying to find the answer, and do something else with my time, like playing the game, LOL! Thanks a lot @SheriGR and @PipMenace for directing me to find the answer! 😉
