Data deleted after a couple of crashes

The title is the problem I'm having, I fixed my game crashing 24/7, now my data is just gone.

    @theunlaughperson   Apologies for the delay.  Please try these steps in order..

    1. Clear the EA app cache
    - Click the three line menu in the upper left of the EA app, click Help, then click App Recovery

    - Click the Clear Cache button

    The app will restart and, if you haven't checked the option to stay signed in, you may need to sign in again.

    2. Run a game repair

    - Click on the Library in the EA app, then click the Sims 4 game

    - Click the Manage button, then click repair (it may take a bit for the repair to run for all your installed content)

    3. Move the Sims 4 folder out of Documents / Electronic Arts again (I suggest renaming the TS4 folder that you recovered, with all your saves and such, maybe name it something like The Sims 4 Recovered; just so you can keep that one safe until we figure this out and get your game running again)

    4. Restart your computer

    Once your computer is fully booted, try to launch the game again and update if it's working or not.

    @theunlaughperson   Hello!  That sounds really terrible!  Since we don't know what happened, can you please provide some more details?  What were the steps you took to fix the crashing?  By "data is gone", do you mean your TS4 folder is missing?  Or your saves?  Or what?

    All of my saves are gone (not anymore, though), but I managed to restore the original file from my Trash Can, but now the Sims 4 wont load whatsoever, tried anything I could; desktop, taskbar, steam, even the official EA app, but none work to load the game.

    @theunlaughperson   Oh wow!  Okay, so you were able to recover your saves?  Was it your old TS4 folder in your trash can?  Did you move that folder into the Documents / Electronic Arts folder?  If so, I suggest doing a factory reset to see if you can recover those saves.

    - Move that old TS4 folder that you recovered with all your saves and such to the desktop (or some other safe location)

    - Launch the game to allow the creation of a new TS4 folder

    - Exit the game

    - Open both the new TS4 folder and the old one using File Explorer (or Finder if you're on Mac)

    - Copy the saves folder from the old TS4 folder, that you recovered, and paste it into the new one

    - Copy the Tray folder from the old TS4 folder and paste it into the new one

    - Launch the game again to see if it loads and to check that your saves are there

    - Come back and update what happened. :-)

    Update: Game won't start up, even after I did some of what your reply said. Any tips of how to get the game to start up again? (Note; I did reinstall the game twice yesterday and today, still not working)

    @theunlaughperson  Hmmmm ... Go into your Documents / Electronic Arts folder and move The Sims 4 folder to the desktop. Update if you're able to launch the game.

    #1 managed to make The Sims 4 boot up again, thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
