I want to do the Reaper's Rewards quest in one save but I don't want it popping up in every household in every save. How do I turn it off? Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title to make more general for all events.

I stopped playing so that I could opt out of the Reaper thing and was just considering maybe going back - and now I see there is ANOTHER unavoidable event.Please, for the love of crackers, make these optional. Please understand the way your players actually play and not the way you're trying to force them to engage. Most of the player base is just trying to play their own little stories out and not conform to some external To Do List. I'm fine having the OPTION of the challenges or scenarios or what have you, but sometimes I just want to do the story I'm creating.I still want to use the Gallery, so don't point me at the "fix" above. We should not have to choose between entirely cutting ourselves off from the Sims 4 community and being forced into an invasive experience in a game that succeeded once upon a time because it let people imagine and play however they wished.FIX THIS, EA, or I'm done with Sims 4, sad as it makes me.I've been playing a lot of Sims 3 since the Reaper thing started and gosh, it's been a relief.

anyone know how to turn off this stupid reaper rewards thing? why is it mandatory? why would they make it so that you have to do it?if I do it in one save will that turn it off in all the other saves?this is honestly the worst thing that's ever come about out of this game and if its not fixed it will make me sell my EA account to recoup my losses and never play this game again

so this is not a solution, and the fact that you think it is proves how brainwashed by ea you are and I feel bad for you. we shouldn't have to risk corrupting the game by removing files and crap, AND lose access to the gallery just because ea wants to tell the player how they should play the game. I paid my money for this game, I have the right to play it as I want, not have to follow some bs rules just because the developers are getting bored sitting on their butts all day not fixing real problems.

Hello,Could you please tell me how to get rid of the irritating Cozy Celebrations bar that keeps surfacing in my gameplay in Sims 4? You did this with Reaper stuff like a month ago. Is there any way for a user to prevent these things from appearing? Can I opt out? @mightyspritesims and @Spyderbaby I don't think you can turn it off on a per-save basis, but try taking the EA App offline before launching the game. Alternately, I saw a comment that disabling Online Social Features (Options > Game Options > Other) blocks the quest, so you could toggle this setting when you don't want to deal with it.

Hello,
is there a way to cancel this event or hide the event UI? Every time I travel it's reopended and I have to minimize it. After all I dont want to take part in this event, so the UI ist completely useless for me.
I have searched the options/settings, but there is no related entry to disable/hide it.

if you complete it in one save will then have to complete it in another save? or will the complete status work for all saves?

I have noticed all threads with people asking to turn off, disable or even hide the event pop-up or live icon switch have gone unanswered. This isn't surprising as EAs model is to force as much on their customers as they can.
I assume this will never be an option and am hoping someone from the modding community will find away to at least hide it. Until then, I'll stay away.

Same here. The mail carrier is stuck outside my sims home, and the sim panel keeps disappearing, which has made my game unplayable. And I wasn't even interested in this event, I just want to play my usual sims game.
Edit-Never mind, the stuck mail carrier was fixed by having my sims travel to another lot. The disappearing panel seems to be unrelated, turns out my ui cheats mod was outdated, I updated it and it's fine now. It was probably just a coincidence that it happened at the same time that the event dropped. It's still annoying that there's no opt-out option for this event though.
