do i need to keep epic games to keep the free dlc bundle?
I got the free dlc bundle on may 11th and I'm wondering if I still need the epic games app to continue playing it? I have been playing with the dlc but I have noticed a lot more lag and my PC is generally slower since having the application installed, I know it's from the epic games app as getting dlc from the ea app has had no effect on my PC's performance. i would like to uninstall it but I don't want to risk losing the dlc or corrupting my game files by doing so. I just wanna know so I don't spend an hour uninstalling, finding out I messed up, and redownloading again lol
@cutiepie1155 If you installed Sims 4 through the EA App, then no, you shouldn't need to have Epic running or even installed on your computer. But instead of uninstalling, you could simply tell the Epic launcher not to start with Windows and then restart your computer. If the game works without the Epic launcher running, as it should, then you're fine. If it doesn't work, then you won't have broken anything by uninstalling. To be clear, uninstalling the launcher shouldn't break anything either, but it's slightly more effort.
