Do you like voidcritters?

This question comes after seeing some absolutely stunning art by the lovely Tazreen Tasnim. The link is to her twitter account where you can find pictures and a link to her RedBubble shop!!

I think Voidcritters should definitely continue to be developed and added to Sims 4 (we have CC like: Bedding, Collection Displays, Lunch Boxes, Posters, T-Shirts, Plushies) and even for future games of The Sims franchise, if the franchise continues to be developed and expanded on.

I personally love voidcritter decor in the game and think that the whole concept is super cute, fun, and aesthetically pleasing! The opportunity for some gorgeous art is limitless! What do you think of voidcritters? Are your sims' kids also voidcritter nerds?

P.S. Funny little story: I had a dream just a few nights ago that EA announced a new, small team of legacy game employees for the sims 3 and sims 2. In the same announcement, they announced and launched a new update for Sims 3 including a voidcritters update and general bug fixes. I'm sure fixing Island Paradise was in there too xD

  • @EmzyDalsvida I've always thought that it would be cool to see an off-shoot game like My Sims or Sims Medieval for the voidcritters, seeing as how my sims collect them almost like Pokemon cards, a game in that vein would be up my alley.
  • @EmzyDalsvida I want to like them... but I always forget about them... I think the next time my sims have children (I do a lot of legacy type games) I will play with them!

I have never successfully collected them all during the children's festival... only ever got to 9 out of 10... lol

Yep, I've done the same, I've never been a child-focused player, and when I do run children it's usually a straight drill through all the aspirations to get them aged up as wunderkind ASAP.  Voidcritters have nothing to do with any of the standard aspirations, and as a result get left in the dust.

I understand adult sims can play the game too (IIRC), so maybe I will get around to it at some point.

@ValFreya13 Honestly I've never completed them either, lol! But they're definitely so cute. I've been on a Sims 3 binge for a while now, but I think when I go back to gameplay in Sims 4 (instead of just building), I'll definitely try it again and try complete the collection.

@civvercivver I don't think adults can play voidcritters? Although I've seen a mod for it. I think it could be really fun to let teens and adults play with voidcritters. Adults can collect, but not play with. Especially for geeky or childish sims! I still like to decorate my sims' rooms with voidcritter stuff if they're geeky, lol

@GothicGorilla13 I always remember Club Penguin and Card Jitsu cards, and how I'd collect those with my brother when I was younger. And we'd sit and play card jitsu IRL, not just in Club Penguin. I imagine something similar but for Voidcritters and having a cute little collectibles collection of voidcritter stuff!!
