@emma6706 Normally the buildings will stay in your library and gallery with the cc in it. Only new builds will have no cc or mods anymore. I usually give lots a different name and I will not overwrite them but save a new copy. Best is to backup your saves on an external hard disk or usb stick depending on the size of your save folder. I would even suggest making a backup of the complete The Sims folder (once and a while) just for safety reasons. When you also uploaded your cc houses and lots to the gallery and not only to your library, you will even have more certainty.
Take in mind that when you only remove the mods from the folder there will still be some residu left in the localthumbcache.package file. Only when you remove this file from your Sims folder there will be a real clean start.
Have fun playing. 😉
- 5 years ago@Trismagistos Thanks for the reply! So basically what you're saying is if I were to put the same CC items back in my mods folder and place the lots, nothing would be missing (besides bugged or outdated CC)?
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@emma6706 As long as you don't save the game while the CC is gone, once you put the CC back in, everything will still be there.
That's why I recommended starting a new save. If at some later date you put all the CC back in, you can load up your old save and everything will still be there.
