Dog is not showing up as active in icons

Hi there. I have made a dog in the Sims 4: Cats and Dogs, and everything has been fine. He is an elderly dog and I've been having no issues. But then today, (and i don't know if this has anything to do with the new update) I got on, and it was showing that he was sick, so i took him to the vet and tried to sign him in but it said i had no eligible pets, but it showed him there with my sim. I tried going back home to get back to the vet, thinking it was a bug, and the dog came with me. But if i looked in the corner where their icons are, its showing  that hes not on the lot? And when i click the dog bed, and "ask to lie down..." he does not show up as an option i can choose, but he's on the lot. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried restarting my game, computer, etc. (I tried to show it in the picture)

    Hi!

Did you perhaps save and exit the game while your dog was away? This seems to be a bug, sadly. It's been added to EAs list of bugs, so hopefully there's a fix soon, but it seems like one person (check the link), made the pet go back to normal by having it run away again, not quitting the game, and then having the animal come home!

What a relief, then we also know that works, thanks for reporting that! 🙂
